The Role

Reporting to the site Health & Safety Superintendent, this 5:2 4:3 role assists with HSE’s obligations under the Queensland Coal Mining Act are met.  Your role will focus on the administration of our HST Department on site and assisting the workforce regarding changes and improvements made to the site SHMS.

 

Responsibilities

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Assist in compiling data for weekly & monthly reports
  • Assist production admin with Take 5 & hazard entry.
  • Entering actions arising from incident investigations and safety inspections into myosh.
  • Schedule health and safety meetings, prepare agendas and record minutes.
  • Assist in the dissemination of meeting materials and follow up on action items.
  • Assist in organising documentation for incident investigations.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to health and safety data.
  • Coordinate training sessions by scheduling, tracking attendance, and preparing training materials.
  • Assist in maintaining training and induction records and certifications for employees.

 

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

  • Generic Surface Induction (Standard 11)
  • Current QLD Coal Board Medical
  • Current open drivers license
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent on full range of Microsoft programs
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver, assess and develop training and assessment materials
