Warehouse Specialist

Mackay (L0007), AU

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the key focus of this role will be to manage the warehouse facilities on & off site. Manage inventory, components, tooling & freight while developing our site-based stores personnel to manage all warehouse functions.


This position will be based out of Mackay.


Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:



  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
  • Incorporate safety standards and behaviours into daily tasks and activities of the teams.
  • Establish and maintain registers as directed by the Fleet Manager
  • Establish and maintain delivery services for the sites
  • Liaise with Maintenance Superintendents and Project Managers to ensure that their stores requirements are met
  • Maintain the stores in a clean and efficient manner and in accordance with HSE standards
  • Ensure that adequate security measures are in place for the store areas
  • Receiving and dispatching goods in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Assist with administration of stock levels and carry out inventory audits
  • Ensuring all records, work orders, purchase requisitions etc. are accurately completed
  • Carry out training and development of stores employees
  • Ensuring parts and materials needed for completion of work are ordered in a timely manner


Productivity & Teamwork:

  • Lead continuous improvement activities and provide technical knowledge to improve efficiency’s
  • Monitor work of subcontractors to ensure that they meet site requirements
  • Prepare work schedules for areas of responsibility and assign and communicate priorities
  • Ensure all stock levels are maintained, including hydrocarbons
  • Ensure all statutory requirements are fulfilled in the store’s areas of the project
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team


To be successful you will ideally have:

  • Strong background and experience in Inventory management and warehousing
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement processes & systems
  • Current open driver’s licence
  • Forklift & Crane tickets
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in both a team environment as well as unsupervised
  • Advanced computer proficiencies particularly with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics & AMT)
