Maintenance Planner - Saraji

 

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Fleet team at South Walker Creek on a 7/7 roster. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the site has timely and complete maintenance schedules and detailed job plans ensuring optimum usage and minimise down time over mobile and fixed plant life, contributing to the overall performance of the maintenance function.

 

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Monitor and produce maintenance schedules incorporating machine hours, service estimates and component replacement.
  • Provide day to day communication on issues relating to maintenance including organisation of job tasks and development of work procedures.
  • Facilitate statutory inspections and ensure all maintenance work is undertaken in accordance with the site Safety & Health Management System.
  • Ensure purchase orders are raised for planning tasks
  • Maintain compliance with the site Safety & Health Management System and associated legislative requirements in consultation with the Safety & Training Coordinator and Project Manager
  • Identify and control hazards and report same to the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure corrective action is undertaken
  • Interpretation of oil analysis and condition monitoring reports for fixed and mobile plant and communicate deficiencies to appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure all defects and corrective actions are recorded for audit purposes.
  • Track component history for mobile and fixed plant to provide information for budgeting purposes and life of plant.
  • Maintain an up to date record of machine statistics including service history, machine down times and cost inefficiencies.
  • Identify and implement cost efficiency initiatives where possible.

 

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

  • Previous experience with CMMS use
  • Previous planning and scheduling experience
  • Previous Maintenance experience on large mining equipment
  • Thorough understanding of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and how it relates to maintenance applications.
  • In depth knowledge of plant & machinery within the mining environment and how to provide for consistent maintenance, planning and servicing practices
  • Relevant Trade or Degree in an associated discipline
  • Current open drivers’ licence
  • RIIRIS301A – Apply Risk Management Processes
  • RIIOHS301A – Conduct Safety & Health Investigations
  • RIICOM301A – Communicate Information
  • RIIRIS402A – Implement and Maintain Risk Management Processes
  • Senior First Aid Certificate or Higher.
