HSE is a specialist provider of large-scale mining services to Australia’s resources sector. In addition to providing earthmoving and other contract mining services, HSE provides heavy equipment rental to mining sites with its fleet of large-scale and ancillary earthmoving and excavating machinery.

 

We are looking for experienced Maintenance Supervisors to join the Fleet team, based at Saraji Mine. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, this role manages all planned and breakdown work execution.

 

Key aspects of this role include:

  • Ensure compliance with the maintenance plan
  • Review Fleet inventory holdings and continually refine to ensure critical and ongoing inventory is held in the appropriate locations and quantities
  • Remain abreast of all OEM product updates and bulletins and review for application
  • Measure Plant performance prior to and after all shutdowns & major services to ensure work scopes improve asset reliability
  • Monitor work of subcontractors to ensure that they meet site & HSE requirements.
  • Forecast monthly, 6-monthly and annual equipment maintenance plans in conjunction with the Long-Term Planner.
  • Prepare work schedules for areas of responsibility and assign and communicate priorities.
  • Co-ordinate all improvements through the Engineering Group
  • Ensure compliance with Mine Safety Management Plan and Statutory Safety requirements
  • Incorporate safety standards and behaviours into daily tasks and activities of the teams

 

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that candidates have:

 

  • Trade qualification with at least 5 years’ experience
  • Supervisory experience preferably in mining operations
  • Demonstrated team leadership skills
  • Thorough understanding of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation and how it relates to maintenance applications
  • In depth knowledge of plant and machinery within the mining environment and how to provide for consistent maintenance, planning and servicing practices
  • Current open driver’s licence
